Fusina creates artistic shop windows for Slowear at La Rinascente

For the A Spotlight On Talents platform, created by Slowear and L’Uomo Vogue, Fusina worked on the shop windows of La Rinascente at Piazza Duomo in Milan, bringing out the work of four young artists.
Eight shop windows, four artists, four different forms of art and four different ways to interpret the values of a brand. That’s the new work Fusina completed in just one night, assembling some works of art behind the windows of a prestigious store, La Rinascente at Piazza Duomo in Milan. It was the ideal stage during the Milan Man Fashion Week last June.
For the clothing brand Slowear, with which Fusina has been collaborating frequently over the last years, we worked on the project A Spotlight On Talents: a platform created by Slowear and Franca Sozzani, director of Uomo Vogue, in collaboration with La Rinascente. Using different art forms, four artists interpreted the brands that are part of the group.
A scouting initiative that, from June 14th to June 21st, offered to the visitors of Piazza Duomo in Milan the chance to appreciate, inside the shop windows of La Rinascente, works of art able to represent the core value of Slowear – a slow lifestyle – through photography, design, graphics and visual art.

Fusina finely realized the ideas of the four artists, completing the fitting of the eight shop windows in just one night, just as we did for the last project we were commissioned in 2014 by Slowear, An Open Window on Talents.
This time, the challenge was even more demanding: it included the assembly of moving art works and we needed to follow precise instructions given to us by the artists. Photographer Carmen Mirotta created for Montedoro a new world in which nature and urbanism coexist; designer Mario Milana interpreted the timeless quality of the clothing brand Zanone by creating a colourful, seemingly endless sofa called Fair Play that fills the window in all its length. Illustrator Elena Xausa decorated the Incotex windows, mixing classic and innovative styles inserting playful elements, dynamic mechanisms and large shapes. Design and graphics studio La Tigre, composed by Luisa Milani and Walter Molteni, staged for Glanshirt a silent rock concert, using just minimal graphic elements.

The tendency to transform shop windows into small, precious museums that everyone can visit is everyday more appreciated. A thoughtful fitting, then, becomes essential.
For the A Spotlight On Talents project, Fusina made its technical skills, its scrupulous attention to detail and its experience in the fitting of shop windows and retail spaces available to meet the needs of the artists, the brand and the store simultaneously. The result was an original, awe-inspiring visual experience. .
